VENETIAN FLATWEAVE
Cushions
For many years our studio in Herefordshire was home to a shop which sold a selection of pieces for the home. As our flatweave began to increase in popularity we had to accommodate more work benches to cope with upscaled production. This also meant our shop became a showroom for our flatweave collection. Years later we wanted to re-introduce pieces for the home to our offerings, this time focussing on using our own woven product in new ways. Our cushions are beautifully handcrafted in small batches by a company in the south of England, who have perfected the art with over 150 years of experience.

Each bag, bench and cushion has been made with skill and care by British craftspeople, many local to our own Herefordshire studios. We weave, sew and make in small quantities, often to order, to reduce waste and to give the production of each piece the time it deserves.
At Roger Oates Design, we believe that the beauty and craftsmanship of flatweave stretches far beyond the staircase.
